BUY A LICENCEYou do need an Angling Licence to fish at any Tasmanian inland water, which includes some river mouths and estuaries. A Recreational Sea Fishing Licence is required for any of the following types of fishing: - abalone (taken by any legal method) - rock lobster dive (fisher must be over 10 years old) - rock lobster pot (fisher must be over 10 years old) - rock lobster rings (fisher must be over 10 years old) - graball net, mullet net, beach seine net. - scallop diving You do not need a licence for salt water or marine fishing with a rod and line or To fish at a Registered Private Fishery or If you are under 14 years of age |
