Curries River Dam Report 12/8/2012

Looks like I am doing the report as Dale has handpassed it on to me! We fished Curries River Dam this arvo with Dale, Trev, & Bailey. We met up with them onsite around lunchtime. It was the first time here for me, but Dale has fished it a few times about 15 years ago and got some nice fish out of it on the fly.

The updated Hydro Tasmania lake levels page

The lake levels published by Hydro Tasmania have always been of interest to anglers as a guide to how well lakes may be fishing. Fluctuations in levels often have a direct influence over the behaviour of trout. A lake's level at the time of fishing can have a bearing on where anglers can fish and safely navigate on some lakes.

Always a river somewhere

Hi everyone, Trev abandoned me today, preferring to go to the pictures .
I thought this would give me a chance to ring a couple of mates and sneak to a river for a couple of hours.
After a couple of calls it dawned on me that no one loves me, so off  I went on my own.

Lady Lake 5/11/2011

Took a stroll up Higgs track Saturday to have a look about and of course had to wet a line, the walk up the mountain is just under 4 km and a bit testing but the scenery is breathtaking, it took Ally and I 1 hour 45 minutes to get up and 40 minutes to get back down.

Lake Selina, Lake Plimsol and Reece Dam 17 September

Had the pleasure of spending the day fishing with Dale and Trev Howard and my son Bailey.
We headed off at 6.30am and arriving at Lake Selina at 10am,what a beautiful little lake, fairly shallow around the northern and western side, but deeper on the eastern shore which is better suited to casting softies from the shore.

Lake Plimsoll 10/9/2011

A few of the Presidents went to Lake Plimsoll (near Tullah) today after the elusive Brook Trout.
Nine fish were landed and many things were learnt from the experience, it is a trip  we urge you all to consider at least once this year.

Craigbourne Report

Hi all, just a few pic’s from a trip to Craigbourne during the week. No doubt many would have read about Inland Fisheries tipping a quantity of large salmon into it a week or so ago.
